Program Evaluation
"Program evaluation
involves the systematic collection of information about the activities,
characteristics, and outcomes of programs in order to inform decisions,
clarify options, identify improvements, and provide information about
programs and policies.” (Patton, 1997).
At OCJS, program
evaluation is conducted to assess programs funded by the agency, as well
as to assess programs that have generated considerable attention in the
criminal justice arena.
